What do you think can be done to improve bureaucratic performance? If you argue that the only way to improve that performance is to cut it, you should assess the ramifications of your proposed cuts would mean. For instance, if food inspection is cut from the Department of Agriculture's budget, what would take its place to ensure the safety of food? Your response should take the form of a 2-3 page paper, and be handed in at the beginning of class next Wednesday, June 20.
